Aurabeat Launched Medical Device for SARS-COV-2 disinfection in India, Eyes sale of one lakh Units in 12 months


Hyderabad, Aug 10 (UNI) Aurabeat, USFDA approved anti-Covid Class 2 medical device for SARS-COV-2 disinfection, was launched in India on Tuesday.

Hong Kong-based Aurabeat has developed the patented AG+ five-stage sterilization purifying technology after extensive research in the field of air filtration for over a decade.

Aurabeat’s AG+ Pro Silver Ion Antiviral Air Purifier cleans the air up to 3.4 times in one hour while actively eliminating bacteria and viruses from air and surfaces, the company claimed.

Apart from USFDA, the product is it is certified by MRI Global, ATCC (American Type Culture Collection), SGS (General Society of Surveillance-Geneva), FC, CE, ISO, UL, RoHS, UKRI Medical Research Council, CEN European Committee for Standardization.

Aurabeat is used in over 200 hospitals, 200+ schools protecting the air from COVID-19 in more than 40 countries, it said.

Speaking after launching virtually,Aurabeat India CEO Venkat Duddukuri said that our first target customers are Hospitals followed by manufacturing units, Consumers and government sectors and all.

Aurabeat patented silver ion technology relies on a premium five-stage filtration mechanism which has previously been used in medical equipment making the Aurabeat products extremely reliable and trustworthy.

Our target was one lakh units by next 12- months by expanding the distribution network across all major cities and towns in the country by next 30-days, Venkat said, currently, the products are available in the market and also on e-commerce platforms like Flipkart and Amazon.

Without disclosing the location of the facility coming in the country, he said we have plans to set up a facility with an aim to produce locally with local manpower. However, currently the facility is in Hong Kong only.

The price of each unit cost depending on the coverage of area was from Rs 17,000 to Rs 74,000 and the bigger size which will cover 600 sf ft area, he added.

During the India launch, Phil Yuen, CEO, Aurabeat, Hong Kong, said “We launched Aurabeat Anti-Covid disinfection technology in response to the global pandemic. We have a demand for our anti-Covid disinfection products, and we are ramping up production to meet global demand.”

Pollutants like nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, formaldehyde, , can also be eliminated from the air using the Aurabeat air purifiers. This technology is highly efficient for indoor pollution in hospitals, homes, schools, movie theatres, restaurants, offices, among others, he added.
